Installation - Framing

Framing for the project is developed and built by Dave Falconer. He will also install the units.

Prototype images

Here is the final schematic drawing:

The front is a 12mm toughened glass sheet to which black Polypropelene sheets and spacers are attached to create the necessary pocket to hold the printed lamp (shown as a print out). The back of the pocket has a perspex mirror so the transparent parts of the print create a sense of depth. All pieces are insulated using black silicon. Special silica gel is used to dehydrate the inside of the unit after it has been sealed off.
