We used our new software development to grow an Archilace Structure on the roof of the Tolhuistuin building to celebrate its grand opening as part of Transnaturals’ BEYOND Biennial.
Together with a local group of Archilace weavers we fabricated the double walled form reaching over 8 metres high. In the evenings the piece become a visual display of the fluctuating CO2 levels and is animated with colour changing light.
BEYOND Biennial is a new event in Amsterdam that will transform the northern shore of the IJ into a temporary hub for everyone interested in the latest developments in (interactive) media, art, design, technology and science. The program consists of an exhibition, performances, interactive installations, movie screenings and an exhilarating night program full of music.
